On order, deploy by air, rail and/or sea, establish a personnel services battalion area of operations, provide direct personnel service support to designated units, be prepared to relocate the battalion, provide for the defense, security and life support of all assigned and attached personnel and on order, redeploy upon completion of the mission.

In accomplishing their "training and handover" objectives of Personnel Services Delivery (PSD), the 15th Personnel Services Battalion "worked themselves out oif a responsible position. The 15th Personnel Services Battalion was inactivated oh 15 July, 2008.

In direct support of the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, the 15th Personnel Battalion services the personnel requiremnts of approximately 18,000 soldiers. In carrying out its operation, the 15th personnel Battalion provided a trained and ready deployable force to support all units in its Aea Of Responsibility (AOR) throughout the continuum of peace and war. In addition, it ensured the financial readiness of supported units prior to deployment; disseminated policy guidance, assisted unit commanders, and provided continuous finance support.
